The Xbox Games Showcase 2024 delivered tons of previews of the exciting games and innovations heading to Xbox. The event showcased a variety of games from beloved franchises and new titles, promising an impressive lineup for gamers and surely make me excited personally.
Players can anticipate thrilling returns to iconic series with games like Gears of War: E-Day and Doom: The Dark Ages, as well as fresh updates on eagerly awaited titles such as State of Decay 3, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Perfect Dark, and South of Midnight. Additionally, Starfield: Shattered Space along with the announcement of the release date for The War Within, the next expansion for World of Warcraft.
From Xbox’s partners, the showcase featured a world-first gameplay look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows, an introduction to the party members in the highly anticipated Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and an exciting glimpse at the return of Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater (which is a remake of the 2004 game METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER). The event also highlighted impressive debuts such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Atomfall, and Winter Burrow.
A major highlight was the gameplay reveal of the brand-new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, followed by the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct.
Games that excite me as I’ve played their prequels before are Age of Mythology: Retold, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred expansion. Definitely can’t wait to play all these games!
